How to Register for CAPSO 2005

CAPSO strongly encourages all CAPSO 2008 attendees to register online. Our online registration system is fast, user-friendly, and convenient. Whether you are registering one person or an entire school faculty, and regardless of your preference to pay by check or credit card, just follow the step-by-step instructions appearing below, and we'll see you in Long Beach! Getting Started...

Note: If you are registering more than one person, it will be helpful to collect CAPSO 2008 workshop session selections from all individuals to be registered. A "Session Selection Worksheet" has been created to facilitate this process. Download/Print a copy of the worksheet.

  1. View workshop session descriptions and presenter information. Just click the appropriate link in the "General Info" box at the top of the left-hand column. Or, you can view/download/print a copy of the registration booklet.

  2. Familiarize yourself with the CAPSO 2008 Registration Home Page. The links in the left-hand column allow viewers to access session descriptions and presenter information, navigate the four-step registration process, and obtain useful summary information. The main section of the page provides instructions and general information.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Continue" box. On the next page, select "USERNAME" under the "Start Options". You will be prompted to set up a username and password that you will need to remember for future visits to the registration site. You'll be creating a stored profile which will allow you to easily register for future CAPSO events. Once you have created your username and password, you will be ready to perform the four steps comprising the registration process.

Complete the four-step registration process:
  • Step 1: Click the "Continue" button for "Step 1 Registration." Enter the names of each person you are registering. Email addresses for additional registrants are optional, but desirable. In the "Registration Type" box, use the dropdown menu to indicate affiliation with a CAPSO member organization, then click the "Enter Record" box. Repeat this process for each individual to be registered. If you'd like to receive a copy of the confirmation emails sent to each email address entered, check the "Additional verification to..." box. Click the "Continue" button for "Step 2 Affiliation." (You can also click the "Step 2 Affiliation" link in the left-hand column.)

  • Step 2: Indicate affiliation with CAPSO by using the dropdown menu and selecting the appropriate CAPSO member organization. Then, enter the school name and address. If you're entering information for multiple registrants, on the next screen check the box that asks if you've entered previous affiliation and school name information and continue to Step 3. Click the "Continue" button for "Step 3 Sessions" or click the "Step 3 Sessions" link in the left-hand column.

    If you have entered the affiliation and school name for at least one attendee and the status of step 2 still shows as "Incomplete", disregard and move to Step 3 and 4 to complete your registration

  • Step 3: Using the drop-down menus associated with each workshop sessions time slot, indicate each registrant's session selections. Click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the screen after entering each individual's choices. (Use the completed "Session Selection Worksheet" to designate the correct sessions for each individual.) Proceed to Step 4 by either clicking the "Continue" button for "Step 4 Payment" or by click the "Step 4 Payment" link in the left-hand column.

  • Step 4: After you have entered the registration info and session choices for your attendees and are ready to make payment, which can be remitted by check, or credit card, or both. If you choose to pay by credit card(s) and check(s), process each type of payment separately (i.e...if you are using one credit card to pay for 4 attendees and another credit card or check to pay for 7 attendees, select the first group of attendees first and make payment, then go back to Step 4 "Payment" and select your next group of attendees for the new type of payment). You can also choose to make partial payments. You are not required to make full payment at one time if your attendees are not all confirmed when you are entering their information. You can return to the site as often as necessary to make additional payment(s). We do, however, strongly encourage you to complete the session selection process as soon as possible.

Helpful Information:

There are three convenient features available in the "User Options" box on the left-hand column of the screen. You can click on these at any time to obtain the following information.

  • "My Attendees" will display a listing of all persons you have registered.

  • "My Status" will display the registration and payment status of each registrant.

  • "My Invoice" will display a receipt showing any payment(s) that have been processed.

Conference Badges

Conference badges will be mailed to school prior to the Convention. To ensure timely receipt of badges, please complete the registration process at your earliest convenience.
