Resources - CCTC Offers Summer Workshops on Implemenation of SB 2042 Teacher Preparation Reforms

The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing has extended an invitation to private school administrative units to participate in its Summer 2002 Workshops on the Implementation of SB 2042 Teacher Preparation Reforms. Preferred participation is in the form of two-person teams from participating organizations.

Two sessions will be offered (of which participants will select one). Both will take place in San Diego.

Session 1:

1:00 PM - 5:00 PM, August 14 and
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, August 15
Location: San Diego Marriott Marina Hotel

Session 2:

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, August 16 and
8:00 AM - 12:30 PM, August 17
Location: San Diego Marriott Marina Hotel

The cost of registration is $25 per participant, payable to CCTC-Title II. Hotel rooms have been reserved for the nights of August 14, 15, and 16 at the workshop rate of $140 plus tax.

Participants will receive expense claims at the workshop to receive reimbursement for their lodging. Costs associated with travel and parking are the responsibility of participants. Rooms are available on a first-come-first-served basis and may be reserved by phoning the Marriott Marina Hotel at 619 234-1500. Reservations must be made prior to July 12, 2002. There will be no on-site registration.
