Private School Teacher Induction Planning Grants
Download a copy of the RFP document. (Word Doc 766KB)

The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing has issued a request for proposals from private schools wishing to develop teacher induction programs that conform to state guidelines. The purpose of such programs is to enable private schools who so choose to meet the Standards for Professional Teacher Induction Programs established by SB 2042. Funding will be provided from California's federal Title II HEA Teacher Quality Enhancement State Grant.

The $10,000 awards are intended to support planning and development activities and will be assigned to WASC accredited private schools through a competitive grant process. Private schools may apply individually or as a member of a consortium that may include other (WASC accredited) private schools, public or private institutions of higher education that offer CTC-approved teacher preparation programs, public schools or public school districts offering BTSA (Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment) programs. In all instances, the private K12 school making application for the award will serve as the fiscal agent for the grant.

Schools wishing to pursue this opportunity must submit an Intent to Bid form to the CTC prior to July 15, 2002. Proposals must be received by the CTC prior to 12:00 Noon, July 30, 2002.

The RFP contains guidelines and criteria governing the preparation and submission of proposals, as well as a copy of the Intent to Bid form.
