The Los Angeles County Office of Education is offering schools, faculties, parents and students affiliated with CAPSO member organizations a 10% discount off the purchase of their popular, low-cost transition guides, "Getting Ready for Middle School," "Getting Ready for High School," and "Life After High School." CAPSO MEMBERS ONLY (Learn more...) "California's Private Schools: A Portrait of Enrollment" offers a comprehensive overview of current data and trends at both state and county levels. All information presented in the report is derived from private school affidavit data collected by the California Department of Education. CAPSO MEMBERS ONLY CAPSO members, their affiliated schools, faculties and students are eligible to purchase software and hardware from leading manufacturers at significant discounts. We’ve provided some simple instructions to help you get started. View and/or download a roster of CAPSO-affiliated schools in a particular county. "California's Private Schools: A Portrait of Enrollment 20042006-2005" contains a broad array of up-to-date information compiled by CAPSO from California Department of Education data. Qualifying students currently in grades 10 and 11 are invited to apply for participation in the program to take place July 10-16, 2005, at CSU Sacramento. Housing, meals, program materials and transportation will be provided at no cost to participants. The dealine for the submittal of applications is March 15, 2005. Cal National Bank has announced a program offering scholarships to students from low-income families residing in Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties who will be entering four-year colleges/universities or two-year community colleges in Fall, 2005. CAPSO has all the information and links to application forms and materials. The Southern California Children's Scholarship Fund will make up to 1,000 additional scholarships available to children of low-income families residing in the city of Los Angeles and entering grades K-5 in 2005-06. Let CAPSO show your school how to apply for a 50% discount on recurring monthly telephone and internet connection charges. Experienced teachers in regionally accredited private schools may be eligible for waiver of the teacher preparation component and/or student teaching requirements needed to obtain a Single or Multiple Subject credential from the California Commision on Teacher Credentialing. |
