About CAPSO Member's Only Material

In November, 2003, certain CAPSO website material will become available to educators, parents, students and school leaders associated with CAPSO member organizations ONLY.

As you may be aware, CAPSO is currently completing its transition to a dues-based membership organization with paid staff. The payment of dues enables CAPSO to:

  • operate a website that provides timely, relevant and user-friendly information

  • protect the independence and autonomy that allow private schools to pursue their unique missions

  • engage in legislative advocacy on behalf of common private school interests

  • work with federal, state and local officials to bring benefits to private school children and staff

  • facilitate the appointment of private school representatives to key state commissions and committees

  • provide professional development programs that are outstanding and affordable

  • ...and more
CAPSO is an organization of organizations. CAPSO's members consist of non-profit service agencies or administrative units that serve groups of affiliated schools. View a listing of CAPSO member organizations.

If you're already a member of the "CAPSO family"...

If you are an educator, parent, student, trustee, committee member, donor, or volunteer in a school that is affiliated with a CAPSO member organization, you will be able to access all the timely and helpful information contained in the CAPSO website.

During the month of October, 2003, CAPSO member organizations will provide their affiliated schools with a CAPSO password. The password will be your key to access various articles and information available to members only.

If you're not yet a member of the "CAPSO family"...

...you might wish to consider the benefits of membership in a CAPSO-affiliated organization.

CAPSO members span a wide array of religious, non-sectarian and specialized educational support organizations committed to the preservation of pluralism in American education and to the common pursuit of excellence. Not only will affiliation with a CAPSO member organization distinguish your school for its commitment to high standards, it will also yield numerous tangible benefits in the form of professional development programs, consultation, participation in principals councils and other professional groups, participation in inter-school programs, activities and initiatives, networking opportunities, and more.

If you have any questions about the information contained in this notice, please send an email to info@capso.org or contact the CAPSO office at 818 781-4680.
