A budget proposal from the White House would terminate or dramatically cut several key No Child Left Behind programs serving children in public and provate schools, including:
- Title II, Part D - Educational Technology
- Title IV, Part A - Safe & Drug Free Schools & Communities
- Title V, Part A - Innovative Programs
All three programs are widely used by schools across the country, and all provide for equitable services to private school students.
Congress has begun the process of deciding how much funding these, and other education programs will receive in fiscal year 2006.
