AIR is a behavioral and social science research and evaluation organizations whose overriding goal is to use the best science available to bring the most effective ideas and approaches to enhancing everyday life.

Brown Center on Education Policy
Affiliated with the Brookings Institution. Offers studies and policy papers addressing a variety of educational policy issues.

The Cato Institute
Non-profit public policy research foundation seeking to broaden the parameters of public policy debate to allow consideration of the traditional American principles of limited government, individual liberty, free markets and peace.

EdSource
EdSource believes that access to a quality education is an important right of all children. We further believe that an informed, involved public is necessary to strengthen California’s schools for the benefit of the state’s children, its civic life and its economy.

Heritage Foundation
The mission of the Heritage Foundation is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.

Institute for Justice
Founded in 1991, the Institute for Justice is the nation’s only libertarian public interest law firm, pursuing cutting-edge litigation on behalf of individuals whose most basic rights are denied by the State.

Institute for the Transformation of Learning
A site advocating for school choice, maintained by the Black Alliance for Educational Options and the Institute for the Transformation of Learning at Marquette University.

Manhattan Institute for Policy Research
The Manhattan Institute is a think tank whose mission is to develop and disseminate new ideas that foster greater economic choice and individual responsibility.

National Education Policy Center
The mission of the National Education Policy Center is to produce and disseminate high-quality, peer-reviewed research to inform education policy discussions.

Pacific Research Institute Center for School Reform
The Center for School Reform works to restore to all parents the basic right to choose the best educational opportunities for their children. Through research and grassroots outreach, the CSR advances parental choice in education, high academic standards and accountability, charter schools, teacher quality, and school finance reform.

People for the American Way
PFAW is “…combating efforts to undermine public education through school vouchers and similar defunding schemes, through improper school censorship and other attacks on the freedom to learn, and through unconstitutional attempts to promote religion to captive audiences of public school students.”

Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE)
Pace is an independent policy research center whose primary aim is to enrich education policy debates – from preschool through college – with sound analysis and hard evidence.

Rand Corporation: Education and the Arts
